Outside Walls
Outside Walls...Removing Ivy

We would suggest using a pressure washer.

Try these techniques :

Cover your plants beneath the area in which you are working so they don't drown - at least the water won't be harmful to them.

Use at least a 2000 P.S.I. (pounds per square inch) pressure washer. These are readily available from almost any rental store for about US$40 per day.

Be careful as the pressure will be high enough to actually chew away the brick and mortar.

You will have to find the proper distance from the wall to hold the wand - that is when the ivy remains are coming of and the bricks and mortar are staying on.

Be sure you're wearing your galoshes as this can be wet work!
